| Day 1 |
Tour starts in Sofia. Meeting at the airport
and transfer to
your hotel. |
| Day 2 |
Sightseeing the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia and visit to the Alexander Nevski Catedral and Boyana
Church - included in the UNESCO list of World Cultural & Historical
Heritage. Dinner in a traditional Bulgarian restaurant with a
live fire dancing performance. Barefooted dancers performing on burning embers
- a religious and mystical ritual for health, fruitfulness and expelling
illness. |
| Day 3 |
Sofia - Village of Oreshak. Visit to the Permanent
National Exhibition of Folk Art in Oreshak where you can find your own particular
memento from the Bulgarian culture - a small carved wooden wine vessel, a Troyan
pottery set, a fleecy Rhodope rug, an original piece of silver jewellery, a
finely embroidered silk blouse or a colourful carpet. Departure for
Fenerite - an original Bulgarian house hotel complex. |
| Day 4 |
Fenerite - Bojenci - Gabrovo - Etara Open Air Ethnographic museum - Veliko
Tarnovo. Accommodation and sightseeing the organic architecture of the city.
In the evening THE SON ET LUMIERE - spectacular show designed to tell the
history of Tsarevets - the fortress is lit up by huge spotlights accompanied
by a stirring soundtrack. |
| Day 5 |
Veliko
Tarnovo - Shipka Historical Museum - Shipka Church -
Kazanlak. Visit to the Museum of Bulgarian
Oleaginous Rose that yields 70 percent of the
world's attar of roses used by every perfume company
in the world. If time allows, visit to the
Ethnographic museum in Kazanlak. |
| Day 6 |
In the morning visit to the Kazanlak Thracian Tomb under the UNESKO
protection and departure for Koprivshtitsa Architectural reserve.
Sightseeing the architectural reserve and farewell dinner prepared from home
made organic products. Overnight stay in a traditional Bulgarian guess
house. |
| Day 7 |
Visit to the Starosel Thracian Tomb discovered by teams of Bulgarian
archeologists in the summer of year 2000 and dated from 4-5 century
BC. In the tomb has been found a grave of what is believed to be a
great Thracian ruler. Departure for Sofia. Arriving and transfer to the airport. |
